A friend pointed me to this video. It is a promo done with Harrison Ford for the Wings Over the Rockies museum at the former Lowry AFB in Denver, Colorado. This is of direct interest to me since I am a native of Denver and currently living just beyond the first range of mountains (Front Range) west of the Denver International Airport where Ford takes off from. Very well done promo. I hope to visit the museum in the near future.

One of the arguments made by global-warming deniers is that, yes, maybe atmospheric CO2 concentrations are rising, and yes, maybe those concentrations are contributing to warming of the planet, but there are many other possible sources of the additional CO2 and therefore there is much uncertainty about how much burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) has contributed to the increases. This article in the Atlantic is of interest to me because I am heavily involved in researching my family genealogy, largely because of the progress my Mom made and the many pictures, articles, documents, and information shared between family members that she left behind in her search for family history, but also because I have a strong personal interest.
I don't know the species. My best guess is Broad-tailed Hummingbird.
No pitons, no ropes, no climbing gear at all, no problem. Seems that what nature provides is more than adequate:
