Since it is rutting season and a lot of it is going on in my neighborhood, I'm sticking with that theme for awhile. Here is a big boy relaxing on my neighbor's lawn (with his harem gathered around but not pictured):
And here he is encouraging a reluctant cow (maybe the same one that was browsing in our yard yesterday). She is not interested, he pretends he doesn't care by doing a little grazing.:
We didn't cut the clematis down to the ground last fall like we usually do (out of laziness, not intent). Based on this spring's results, it appears to have worked out ok.
The sinuous object on the right is a garden hose, the one on the left is a rat snake. This was taken right after the Digger received a poofy haircut. She really is not a foo-foo dog. She's a squirrel-catching, snake-killing Westie (although, admittedly, this one did survive the attack). Click on the image to get a better view of the snake ...
